Fees (2007-08)
Tuition is paid one month in advance:
2's Class - $32/month
3's Class - $60/month
Pre-K - $81/month
Additionally, each child pays $40 for registration. This fee is nonrefundable.
Bates also charges an annual registration fee per family:
1 day weekly (2's Class) - $37.20
2 days weekly (3's Class) - $69.30
3 days weekly (Pre-K) - $101.10
This fee enrolls the parent as a Bates
student in "Parent Education." In addition to allowing you access
to parent education seminars, you will also have use of the Parent Resource
Center at Bates' South campus. You are graded as "Completed" or "Not
Completed" on your college transcripts. Some families may be able to claim
this fee for lifelong
learning credit.

Scholarships
Limited need-based scholarship funds are available for a portion of the monthly tuition. Please contact the treasurer for more details and an application. NTCP does not accept DSHS coupons.
Parent Education Credits
Each family is responsible for earning 8 Parent Education credits during the school year. Credits may be earned by attending seminars at Bates, attending a family fun event, leading a share session, participating on a committee or as a board member, or writing a parent-interest report for the newsletter. Activities that qualify for this credit will either include leadership training or parent support.
Other Parent Obligations
North Tacoma Co-op and Teacher KimAnne were great for my daughter; Alexis thrived in her peer group, and learned to communicate with others and otherwise express wants and needs. She built friendships in the dramatic play room, discovered the touch and feel of themed objects at the sensory tables, negotiated planning at the building blocks center, and created preschool masterpieces at the daily art project center and easel. Best of all, I got to be in the classroom to share the experience with her.
